The James Webb Space Telescope has completed one of its major alignment processes with the alignment of the 18 mirror segments by focusing them all to a single point on the telescope input mirror, which provides the purest clarity yet of deep field space images...
The star shown is a simple star which has the right level of brightness for the JWST's mirror calibration/alignment! It is the background that is amazing! The video nicely delineates the process and the result and is the beginning of the most magnificent discoveries in the universe!
