I got to work with these guys in my first real duty assignment redesigning their MILSTAR infrastructure. I was always impressed by the mission, but even more so by the people. I got to work with some N6 folks, but more so with some guys from NAVCOMTELSTRATCOMU (Navy "acronyms" always make me laugh, too!). The ETs and ITs were extremely sharp as was the LDO LT. I'm pretty sure the N6 LCDR enlisted under John Paul Jones or Commodore Perry, but he was still fun to work for and could drink me under the table. I've tossed a ton of coins in the trash over the years, but the BZ coin I got from the LT is one of the few non-unit coins I still have.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - The have a bit of German flavor. Just smash the words together and drop some letters out. I can't stand up for the Air Force, though. Most of our acronyms were silly words thought up by some brainless action officer somewhere and the backronym was invented later. I'm pretty sure some programs were funded simply because someone liked the acronym name of the program and nothing else.
