And you disagree with that legal opinion?
You consider surgically altering the body of a child, a person that has no ability by law and in proven studies to make such a choice informed and fully considering the ramifications of that choice, an ok thing? "Because the prefrontal cortex is still developing, teenagers might rely on a part of the brain called the amygdala to make decisions and solve problems more than adults do. The amygdala is associated with emotions, impulses, aggression and instinctive behavior."
So a child is making this "choice" based on feelings and emotions.
An adult wants to have “sex-change” surgery, have at it, no issue at all.
But an adult choosing for a child based on what the child wants, a child is a person with an underdeveloped mind, lacking the mental, emotional and critical reasoning capability to make such a decision is wrong.

This is another example of the deconstruction of a group of peoples who demonstrate variability in one of many human traits. From a clinical perspective this results in psychosocial death/mortification.
