There is evidence of many modern humans with Neanderthal DNA.

My Nat Geo DNA test says 2% - that most folks are no more than 4%, and it is rare for African folks to have Neanderthal DNA. I have a FB friend in Canada who says hers is 10%! FB has a Neanderthal group, and there are often interesting articles shared.
