They don’t know how. People truly believe their beliefs are part of their character. If you “offend” them, they literally take it as a personal attack. They have no sense of humor. Only a sense of self.

“Feelings” would be a better word than “beliefs”. Their feelings are their character, their being.

Except it wasn't funny. At all. I get he pushes the boundaries all the time but - it wasn't funny. Where was the humor?
Why can't people have their outrage over an offensive attempt at a joke? If he can say that kind of joke, people can tell him their opinion on it. There are consequences to every single action we take. He's finding out the consequence of that "joke." If people want to respond by not supporting his stand up, they can do that. If Netflix wanted to pull his special over it, they can.

But it was funny. That's why the people in the audience laughed at it.
How about those who are offended don't buy tickets to his show. Or turn the damn channel.
That's the difference between the left and the right. If someone on the right doesn't like something, they don't do it. If someone on the left doesn't like something, they don't want you to do it either.

Sgt (Join to see) - Well, why do you think it was funny? Can you explain why it made you laugh?

Sgt (Join to see) - What specifically was "funny" about it? Some people nervous laugh you know...especially in an awkward situation.
"ThAt'S tHe DifFeRenCe BeTWeEn ThE LeFt AnD tHe RiGhT!" Okay. Whatever. "If someone on the right doesn't like it they don't do it..." Um huh? I have seen videos of conservatives when they think they're "boycotting" just simply damage things they already own. Like burning Nike products - after they had already purchased them. Or another video that had text saying "this is what I do when I see this guy on TV" and it was Joe Biden and instead of just turning off the TV, they threw something at it and broke it.
Or - people on the right who were livid about them putting sneakers on the green M&M or a pantsuit on Minnie Mouse. Or when Starbucks had just plain red cups at Christmas such horrible backlash to that on the right. Or if anyone says Happy Holidays from Nov - Dec they nearly have an aneurysm. Or the kneeling during the anthem. Or having a choice to say or not say the pledge. Or not allowing staff to solicit kids into prayer at public schools.
Shall I keep going?
