"Indians" because Columbus thought he had landed in the Far East (India). How many Native American nations can the average person name? A dozen? Fifteen? Native American history and present needs to be taught in every school. Sports teams need to stop usurping from Native Americans. So do towns and car manufacturers. Or are they too dull to come up with something original? Would they like to play for the Cleveland Honkies? Or the Kansas City Wops?

Very very little. I "learned" from cowboy movies to despise them. Sad isn't it.

At least you realize that those movies usually villainized the Native Americans. You learned to truth. It is never too late.

SSgt Richard Kensinger I've Always Loved the Native American Community, I attended a Summer Camp in Cincinnati run by a Native American and Now I Have a Sister in Law and 2 Granddaughters with Native American Hertiage.
