Lt Col Charlie Brown Hopefully this is not more lip service, and is being initiated in conjunction with the nation's and not imposed top down. AZ is about 30% reservation. The three main VAs presently run regularly scheduled buses into the res and other rural areas. In particular, the T'Ohno and the Navajo are resistive to outside agencies.

Having an 'Office of...' is one thing; having the right metrics, resources and a solid plan with flexibility is a huge challenge. I the new new office much success with their mission.

This has been a sadly neglected area for years. We did a risk analysis about 13 years ago which highlighted the HC needs of Native American vets on the reservations. It was blown off by the Indian Health Service and "tabled for follow up" by the VA. Hopefully they will do this right.
