This seems to be a trend among most retailers that operate brick and mortar stores, scale back.

They have no choice. Over the last 2 years online purchasing have decreased customer count in retail stores. Eventually they reach a point where the minimum number of associates in a store to produce a profit is negative. There are now retailers that have one person to cover 10,000 square feet during prime hours. The diminished service levels further dampen customer count and continues to drive sales down. Having gotten rid of the large portion of controllable cost, the rest still remains and margin doesn't cover it
