For a year now, the images of people storming the Capitol to stop President Biden’s election certification have played over and over. And while most people have formed opinions about the people involved, one political scientist has dug deeper.
Robert Pape, who directs the Chicago Project on Security and Threats at the University of Chicago, has been analyzing the identities of the more than 700 people arrested for breaking through the barricades that day.
He's pored over their court documents and discovered some surprises. After months of looking through the reports, Pape says the picture remains the same: Over and over again, people interviewed by officials said they went to the Capitol on Jan. 6 to support former President Donald Trump and claim Trump as the legitimate president, not Biden.
“This isn't just simply normal criminal behavior or escalations like street fighting,” he says. “This is clearly collective political violence done by hundreds and hundreds of people for essentially the same political purposes.”

As I've posted on other social media, the US military has stationed me in places where people were rotting in jail for even being accused of such things. In one case some were even in jail on the base where I was stationed. So anyhow, don't look to me for sympathy for these traitors who call themselves patriots.

MSG Stan Hutchison - I don't know unfortunately. I guess we the people have to vote out the old and bring in some new...if you are Democrat vote for an upcoming Democrat same for Republican...I am tired of old Washington politics and retreading old politicians...maybe just maybe if we get some new blood in there on both sides we can get it worked out...that is the only thing I think we can do. But if we keep electing them then well like a famous quote stated(attributed to Einstein but not actually his quote) "“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth - A problem as I see it is people yell "throw the bums out" but it is always the other parties bums they are referring to.
During the 2020 Democrat campaigns, I was glad to see some younger candidates. Sadly, none of them were thought to be able to beat Trump.

MSG Stan Hutchison - I admit...I lean left but I am not so damn blind that I will not vote for Democrat if they were to put one up that was worth a dang. I voted Democrat in the past and will do it again if I feel it is in the best interest of our country...but I am over the recycled politicians...or the recycled politicians puppets.

During an insurrection the people are well armed with guns, where were the guns? The so called select committee have been hand picked by Nancy Pelosi who is in charge of capitol security. They had the findings prior to the committee meeting. A Jewish man would have had a more fair trial in 1940s Germany then this corrupt committee.
