China Wins As Joe Manchin Downgrades U.S. Economy

He has been getting a LOT of republican money. I guess that huge yacht has a lot of upkeep.

Manchin did not downgrade our economy. Lockdowns dealt a major blow, then the goverent over-spent on stimulus, then the stimulus was used to but STUFF which the supply chain - still not recovered from useless lockdowns - was unable to keep up with, driving supply/demand inequity. At the same time, the government was pumping even MORE money into the economy, exacerbating the over-stimulus.

All of this has led to lower employment and run away inflation.

You don't fix that by throwing even MORE money at the economy.

Oh... And it isn't Manchin that killed this bill. It is the Democratic insistence to not even SPEAK to the Republicans. This bill is not failing 49-1. It is failing 49-51. There are 50 OTHER SENATORS in the "no" column. The MAJORITY OF SENATORS think this is a bad idea. Not just one.
