When I'm forced to go to a civilian hospital, I am told if I pay in full when leaving they will give a 15% discount. So I said OK but the poor lady had to get help to figure it out.
Even then bills keep coming in the mail for 2 or 3 months after.

All you or a loved one has to do is call the VA if it's an emergency. If not, well you decided to go there. And yes, I'm lucky because back in the day my state built lot of VA hospitals. I'm within a hour and a half of 3 of them.
