I'm a Texpatriate in upstate NY and I'll never be able to go back to Texas (or Oklahoma, for a matter of fact) because of all the untrained civilians who are walking arsenals. Being stuck in WalMart (!!!) is hellish, but I was shaking after being in the check out line behind a guy with sidearms on both hips, long barrels on both shoulders, and a 9mm tucked in the back of his drawers. When he bent over to pick up something he'd dropped, four of those barrels were out of his control. I barely made it out. I had to restrain myself from just chopping him in the throat. I was trying to keep us from being shot, but I was afraid another WM gunslinger would fire at me and we'd end up dead at an accidental massacre. These states that allow folks to carry sidearms without ANY training are terrifying. All the qualifications they need are: to be 18 or 21 and have the $$ for the weapon. Open the box, load the gun, kill the bad guy... What a nightmare.
