There were almost 4000 Black slave owners that owned 20,000 slaves. How is this explaned?

What about all the slave owners today? Not from history. Existing TODAY!?
As of 2018, the countries with the most slaves were: India (18.4 million), China (3.86 million), Pakistan (3.19 million), North Korea (2.64 million), Nigeria (1.39 million), Indonesia (1.22 million), Democratic Republic of the Congo (1 million), Russia (794,000) and the Philippines (784,000).
Draw your own conclusions as to which "race" practices slavery.

I have pointed out that slavery is an economic system not a racial system. The 1619 project is designed to start a communist/racial movement and is supposed to provide an intellectual and historical frame work. The big problem for me is the 1619 project is extremely inaccurate. Slavery was always opposed in America and never fully tolerated. One of the first acts of the newly formed American government was to outlaw slavery in the Northwest territory . There was always attempts to limit slavery in America. The American quakers provided the theological and philosophical frame work Wilberforce used to end slavery kin England. America’s bloodiest war was fought to end slavery. Of course all this is ignored. There were a lot of white people who fought to end slavery.
