How to Choose the Right Rum for You? - On the Sauce Again

I had no idea how many types of rum there are until I was stationed at MacDill AFB FL in 1885. While here I discovered the Coast Guard Station in St Petersburg that had a Class VI store with a rum section the size of most houses. I found rums that rivaled cognac and more brands than I ever knew existed, really missed it when PCS took me away. When I retired here to my dismay I discovered the old Class VI store at the Coast Guard Station had been torn down and replaced with a new Exchange that had just the routine rum selections. Progress I suppose, but still sad. I've never been into the spiced or flavored rums, or any flavored alcohol for that matter, but perhaps this can help get some of you to experience the world of rum.

Miss the Class VI too brother Jack, like an adult candy store ;-)
At Redstone Arsenal asked if the could get Rolling Rock Beer, next weekend guess what I was drinking ;-) FYI luv rum too my buddy goes on cruises and brings back some every time the best one to me was the cheapest, the award winning one was like paint thinner lol
