During the previous Taliban regime in Afghanistan, Jalaluddin Haqqani was the Minister of Tribal Affairs. This time, after the demise of Jalaluddin, his son Salaluddin Haqqani finds a place in the Taliban regime. Our forefathers taught us that in order to kill the network of weeds, remove its roots and the weeds will die themselves. Using the same philosophy, killing the Haqqani Network from its roots will finish the support system of these regional terror groups and they will eventually die too. Why doesn't the U.S. target the Haqqani Group? Because the Taliban and Afghan Mujahedeen are defenses for the Haqqani Network. The Northern Alliance can prove a U.S. ally.
