Very good read. It should have also mentioned the Great Seige of Malta in 1565 where the Knights of Malta withstood a 4 month seige. Had Malta fallen to the ottoman Turks they would have had a lunching point for the conquest of Europe by taking Sicily and going up the boot of Italy. Much like we did in WW2.
