PO1 William "Chip" Nagel sounds like they are on the right track.

Israel is trying to save lives and prevent the spread on Covid. Bravo Zulu. The world should follow
there example. They also have mandatory draft; another fabulous concept.

MAJ (Join to see) Maybe if the government spent half the effort on keeping people healthy and fit that they are spending on “fighting disease” that wouldn’t be such an issue.

MAJ (Join to see) - I believe we as a country are handing to many benefits, lack of discipline, respect and patriotism. Mandatory draft does not have to involve the military. Many vocations could be included in that umbrella.

LTC Vincent Moore - If a human wants to be fit fit and healthy; they oftentimes can. With our libraries, internet, medical personnel etc.; that info is available. Physical fitness to a minor extent is required in the armed forces. However, in most services it is not enforced in it's entirety.

Sadly I think entitlement mentality is hard to break and even if you required some sort of government service in this country the same folks who do nothing and collect those benefits would just see the gravy train the government would give them in compensation and pension benefits and they’d game that system after shirking their government obligated service.
