SFC Randy Hellenbrand That's a fact! Ever see it mentioned on the main stream news? Even now, over 50 years later, it seems there is fear that it may shine a glaring light on the relationship between U.S. and Israel which would create reasonable doubt about the amount of corruption our nation supports because of that relationship - in so many more ways than most realize. How could our nation, with our separation clause, so unconditionally support a nation that hides behind the skirts of religion and tries to use it to justify the government's violations of International laws - including the long term genocide of the Palestinian people?

Be wary of Israel! Be wary of US Naval support when Washington might have a say! The attack on the Liberty was another sad day for my faith in the US Military.
For the US to award Captain McGonagle, a Medal of Honor for his having been there/done as his ship was attacked and not supported by US forces bespeaks of sinister actions and politics
