I don't want to know how it would have turned out for our nation if the Tea Boycott hadn't made a huge statement. Sure, it "invited" worse harassment from Great Britain during those years . . . but people do Boycott if they disapprove of something unconscionable about a manufactured product or the company that manufactures it. And it often results in "boycotting" of people doing the boycotting.
Don't like Ben and Jerry's or Unilever? Boycott. There is more than one way to do battle. And they all cost in some way or another especially when it interferes with the cash flow of anyone, any company, any corporation, corporate conglomerate, nation. Isn't that the basis of economic "competition" anyway . . . and too often a precursor to war . . . or am I being too cynical?
From what people have said who have not purchased Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream for many years, they have started trying to stock their freezers with it. In some places in U.S., grocery stores can't keep enough Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream in stock. It's disappearing off the shelf as soon as it is stocked.
