This is what I tried to explain to many RP'ers who were up-in-arms about religious exemptions granted to Non-Christians. You do the leg work and apply this can be the end result. Now we have a Christian Soldier who received theirs (which I as an Atheist applaud) and I have a suspicion the outcry will be far less.

SFC Eric Harmon You act like the Army you came up in was so much different than mine. It wasn't bud. You made it about my past when you brought up that new army BS. You only brought that up to try and denigrate me and to make my opinion seem inferior to yours. That dog don't hunt bud. Not much time is wasted on exceptions to policy. Didnt you do some admin stuff? There are ETP's for many things in the Army. "Closing in and destroying the enemy"....lol. The fact that you couldn't provide evidence for your opinion speaks volumes. You can have the last word, im done here.

SFC Eric Harmon - I find myself curious, are our numerous allies unmilitary or unprofessional in appearance? It seems to get along fine with them.

Yeah, but I'm not likely to get gas attacked in Jacksonville FL, or even Kuwait for that matter. The beard was easy to accept for the Army, my hair took longer. I admire you can be salty, without being toxic or rude. Good on you LT.

SGT (Join to see) legitimately happy you persevered and it got approved. Appreciative you still served while waiting for the Army to acknowledge your desire to exercise your faith at the same time. It's great when faith and service can work hand in hand.
