Governments, local or not, have not shown a good track record of doing much in the way of profit. That being said I think the one option of selling it to a Casino group to remake into a top notch venue would be most profitable for the city. They could set a Per Room tax rate for occupancy, get additional taxes from the money spent there , and I would think there would be additional dollars for the city in tourism. I don't know the number of staterooms that could be rented but just look at Las Vegas, obviously Casinos are profitable.

Yeah, I think preserve the ship, but sink, scrap, tow, depth charge,--(whatever it takes)--that piece-of-crap Russian sub docked in front of it. I'm talking about The "Scorpion." It's a rusting eyesore. It's hardly an example of 'advanced Soviet nuclear tech,' even when it was built! Trust me, I took the tour a long time ago. Inside, it looks like it was built in the 1940s, but they said it was in use up until 1990? Hard to believe. Do the words, "old Russian junk" mean anything to you? The "Scorpion" was just some millionaire's idea of "get rich quick" back in the '80s. Now the brain who dreamed up the scheme is long dead, and the city is stuck with the bill; what to do with it?' Get rid of it. It's ugly.

Judging from the ability the Russian army is showing in Ukraine, if the submarine fleet is anywhere near as screwed up, they may want this one back to put back in service.

Thinking like that is what has gotten us into the situation where even a $7 trillion bill isn't enough.

SPC Jeff Daley, PhD My belief is that a border wall is totally unnecessary and helps only those US occupants with narrow minded beliefs (those ICE contracts do help those taxpayers who get them BTW). While repairing crumbling bridges/dams/railroads or expanding broadband is good for all occupants of the US.

I know the child tax credit will do. Women will have more kids just to get more money. How do I know, my sister-in-law has seven kids from different fathers and basically uses the kids as piggy banks and lives off the money of the child tax credit. Many families will use the money properly but I know many other families that use the money meant for the kids for drugs, alcohol and the casino. This is not a good idea.

LTC (Join to see) - Couldn't agree more, coming from the medical side of things, I watch and see many women using abortion as their birth control, only to say everything about childbirth in the indigent culture is wreckless and the ones that suffer are the kids
