Did we read the same article? You said, "the gall of removing MLK."
The Article itself is incorrect and the title misleading.
Excerpts - REQUIRES that "historical documents related to the civic accomplishments of marginalized populations" be taught in public school classrooms. Among dozens of examples listed in the bill are women's suffrage and equal rights, and the history and importance of the civil rights movement including the teaching of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech."
REQUIRE teaching about the accomplishments of United Farm Workers leader Cesar Chavez, Susan B. Anthony's writings about the women's suffragist movement, and Native American history.
MUST teach "the history of white supremacy" including slavery, the Ku Klux Klan, and ways in which the white supremacist hate group was "MORALLY WRONG."

You're reading the House version of the bill, not the Senate version which, as the article states, explicitly does not require those things. Hence, the controversy.

SPC Jesse Davis - Thank you for the clarification, I see now only a small sentence addressed that there were different versions.

SSgt Richard Kensinger - I may have mislead you, as has been pointed out in the article there was only a part of a sentence that clarified the Senate version was different from he House version. I missed it, that mistake was totally on me.

This is similar to the Turks not wanting to talk about Armenian Genocide. Unlike the silly Marxists CRT, no labels of White people as all being racist.
