Good for her. More times than not I have had people say "Oh you should be thankful for people who served and gave you the right to free speech." And then I say I am active duty they say "oh yeah prove it?" Um...I have nothing to prove to anyone. Then they stalk my Facebook but I have it set to friends only - so then I get the "You don't even have any pictures of you in uniform." Yeah because only people I approve as friends see my content on my profile - because I don't want creepers all up in my business looking at not just my photos but my daughter's photos and my family or friends.
Guys like she responded to have the most fragile egos in the world - and I've encountered some on this forum too sadly.

12 military awards now eligible for new 'C' and 'R' devices, and 2 no longer rate a 'V'
Commanders are authorized to award the new devices for specific wartime achievements dating to January 2016.

SFC Michael Hasbun - Found the MILPER, it is not retroactive :-( If I get another one under the same conditions I would highly likely get a "C", but it cannot be amended to something earned prior to 2016-JAN

SFC Michael Hasbun - That's when you know a photo is not stolen valor, the "C" device is correctly worn. Who the hell knows that? The whole rack is correctly worn, and taught me something new, but that's generally a hint it's legit. I "ALWAYS" will look up the questionable awards before I will call someone out. I usually learn something new. Fakes are generally easy to spot.

I always found it interesting that when my husband and I are talking to a stranger (i.e. at a store or something) they immediately recognize him as a vet and seldom even consider that I may be one as well. It used to bug me, but now I just roll my eyes.
