That time of year again. I’ve always found it fascinating that the US has a plague reservoir in the west.

It is summer in the southwest. Wildfires, monsoon flooding, rodent population explosions are as normal as jazz festivals in New Orleans. Plague and hantavirus particularly bad in the four corners area where we often push our moho. Just part of the landscape. We always carry spray bottles of bleach and thoroughly soak any rodent sign before we clean it up.
Just thankful we don't have chiggers and fireants!

Some things unfortunately cycle around like hantavirus. A number of people have died from that over the years.
