Fort Hood updates off-limits establishments list for soldiers

For many years the Dew Drop Inn and the Rattlesnake Lounge, that sit beside each other, and are on Hwy 195 about 15 miles south of Killeen beyond the Lampasas River Bridge, were both off limits. Generally speaking because there was a shooting there just about every week except the coldest parts of winter. I believe one of those buildings is closed now and in poor standing condition but the other appeared to still be in business the last time I drove by there.

Rattlesnake Lounge was off limits in 1968. I had a girlfriend’s father take me there back then.
