A shorter paraphrase of Psalm 59 :
Deliver us from our enemies, O my God, defend us from them that rise up against us. Deliver us from the workers of iniquity for surely they lie in wait for our souls. You, O Lord, shalt laugh at them, You have contempt of them.
God is our defender, the God of Mercy shall protect us. He shall scatter them by His power and bring them down. Consume them in wrath, On my way Lord, that they may not be found: let them know that the God of Israel and of the Seed of Christ rules all the earth.

Therefore, O Lord God of Hosts, awake to punish all the wicked transgressors. They come around in the dark, like cruel dogs, to go around about the city. Let them wander up and down for meat, and not be satisfied.

We will sing of Your power; yes, we will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning: for You are our Shield, the God of our defense and refuge in the day of our troubles.
