One of the issues about missing Muslims in movies, outside of the pigeon hole all Muslims to either the terp or the terrorist; mainstream doesn't understand the vast spectrum of who are Muslim. Or in other terms, which kind of Muslims in film. No idea why Mr. Ahmed only selected to look over movies in a few countries from a span of three years. Especially since the rise of the foreign films for the last 20 or so years have been phenomenon!

My favorite situation in the Army about being an Arab American:
Our Israeli-American DS was to train the company on Muslims and Arabs. He asked the company who are Arabs and/or Muslims. Five of us stood up. Based on religious affiliation and genetics, all of us were very different. He was trying to teach that Muslims and Arabs can't be stereotyped when we all range.
