Another brain surgeon who makes mask wearing a political talking point. I have had many students who have had COVID. They don't need to be told to wear a mask. They have felt its effects and continue to wear them.

I am not a Texan, and never have been. Things might work differently out there. But IMHO, this is a bad move by Abbott.

While I applaud the effort to allow individuals to make personal decisions, I also believe in making policy at the lowest feasible echelon. I also believe that something like this should generally be done by the legislature, and not by the executive.

Well there are ways to keep people out of government buildings like having to provide proof of vaccination and since the cities ran the program they will have lists of who got vaccinated and can compare that list to anyone wishing to enter a city or county controlled facility. They can also choose to close the facilities to employees only.
