If anyone is wondering way Russia is taking control of the artic. Up to a quarter of the world’s undiscovered fossil fuel reserves are concealed north of the Arctic Circle. More than 80% of that lies beneath the sea. I expect as things to heat up literally things will as well heat up geopolitically possibly resulting in another cold war.
How did this happen? - political infighting reached a fever pitch.
While we drone on with our political infighting other countries are strategically preparing for a world after climate change.
To be honest Obama, Trump and many other politicos are to blame as this started back in 2007. So while many look for virtue in all the red vs blue bs this nonsense is the primary reason why we have lapsed in our strategic foresight. While we are naively pantsing each other on the malfunctioning US political playground Russia says "blagodarnost" and kicks us all squarely in our geopolitically shriveled nuts.
