OK... first, this is not Biden's bill. It is Pelosi's. Biden signed it, but it was in the works before he was sworn in, and it was designed and pushed by the House, with VERY little input from the WH.
Credit (or blame) where credit is due.
Second, it plays a clip or Rick Scott saying "send the money you don't need specifically for COVID back" and then this mayor saying "We are going to use all the money for COVID treatment and putting shots in arms." How does that in ANY way go against what Rick Scott said? How in ANY way does that address the well-founded accusations of bailing out struggling cities and states? Especially since Mesa, AZ went into the pandemic in average health (as compared to cities like San Francisco which was in poor health - and is getting a hell of a lot more money).

CNN is so desperate to find someone with an (R) next to their name who seems to support the $2Trillion boondoggle that they had to stoop to a relatively small city mayor who, even in his comments was only supportive of the part of the bill that specifically supported the COVID relief. He didn't support the whole bill -- only the need to fund the cities to get the vaccines into the arms of their citizens.

I'm always amused when I see news stories that identify minor league politicians by party and pretend they're representative of a view held by anyone else but themselves.
But at least this guy is the mayor of a city of 500K, and can probably be expected to have an opinion that's shared by a significant number of Republicans. It's when they find some random schmuck who is running in a primary (or has already lost a primary by a substantial margin), or chairman of the Bumfuck County (pop. 12,400) Republicans that it's really ludicrous.
