My wife and I are going to fight this. Paying a fine of $1700 is still less than paying $4000 missing flights from Vancouver to Edmonton. I will keep you posted....

Some Canadian Travelers Are Ignoring The Hotel Quarantine
Police at Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson Airport (YYZ) are reporting that some travelers are blatantly refusing the hotel-stay.

Paying $4000 as well as missing our final flight to Edmonton. We will quarantine and I will not have to go back to work until 2 weeks from Monday but I have to get a test within 10 days of arriving.
