Iran has a long history of making political prisoners of former Iranians by labeling them spies when they go to Iran to visit relatives. Then to have that happen on release is adding insult to injury. From what I've been told by a woman who that happened to, the conditions are extremely harsh. I think the issue is the extent Iran might have gone to, to try to turn prisoners into informants - like is it possible to know if former prisoners got the Manchurian Candidate type treatment?

Great share PO1 William "Chip" Nagel. I doubt I would have seen this article if you hadn't posted it for us.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - I watched the Iran-Contra hearings on television. Is this the same thing you are talking about?
