I don't know how many race-relations classes I went to in the '60's and '70's. The Army did try, even back then, to address the race issue.
I firmly believe though, that by the time a person enters the military, it may be too late. Racism is ingrained into a person thru long exposure I believe. Children raised in a racist environment, even if it is subtle, will hold onto those beliefs strongly and it will take a massive amount of time and effort to change that belief.
Want to change our military? Then we must change our society, our culture.
