Just 48 hours before becoming president, Joe Biden pressed Monday for unity, while President Donald Trump remained secluded in the White House at the center of a capital inundated with troops and security barriers.
Biden was marking the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday with a trip from his home in Delaware to Philadelphia to perform community service -- a gesture symbolizing his call for Americans to come together after four divisive years.
"Service is a fitting way to start to heal, unite, and rebuild this country we love," Biden said in a video marking the occasion.

This entire situation is absolutely ludacris. The democrats are still trying to hang Trump even though they have wasted literally billions of OUR money and even stole money from our social security to pay for even more of their witch hunting and not a single one of them are in prison for stealing our money. Then they all publicly encouraged their supporters to be violent against any Trump supporter they came across and Trump's social media accounts have been banned and they are trying to impeach him yet again for claiming that he was trying to incite this violence when he couldn't even make comments but yet it was alright for all of them to publicly encourage their supporters to be violent towards his supporters?
