There are multiple leadership failures here...incidents like this don't "just happen". His wife's friends and husbands probably knew of his abusive nature as well. Domestic violence is a dark disease that our national culture would rather cover up than deal with or get people the help they need. There is still hope for this family if they get the support they need.

I hope his wife gets help for her and their children and doesn't go back to this abuse. I guarantee this wasn't the first time he abused her.
