I see several more months more of hard economic times. It cost money to open up businesses. Many will not be profitable right away so they will need cash reserves to cover the losses.

Walking will always be popular, but most cobblers focus on work shoes (e.g. white collar business, blue collar vocation, etc.). If office time continues to decrease, it will sadly affect demand and their livelihood.
