Good morning SSG.
In December 2019 I came down with the flu. So I thought. A lot of us at the Hospital I work at had what we thought was the flu. As is the case once a year and we had the flu shot in October 2019.
A few weeks later, Americans were informed there was a pandemic. Many were scared that I worked around.
I have been in covid-19 patient rooms performing exams this past year. Normally, I get a cold, or something once a year. I have had no illnesses.
We have been asked to volunteer at the hospital for the covid-19 vaccine. Many have refused. I have asked to take it. But I am under the impression I do not need it.

Cpl Mark A. Morris Thank you for your input of personal knowledge and experience to the discussion.
One question that I have is how are anti-inflammatories used and are they effective when used in an appropriate manner? That is not very clear from the most looked at studies.

SSG Robert Webster - I do not know the answer to your direct question.
However, the issue with anti-inflammatories SSG, is too much milligrams over a short time has an increased risk to cause GI bleed. Blood in one's stool often causes digital probing of one's anus. Be careful SSG in using anti-inflammatories. :)
That is a short answer on a subject the majority do not know completely how/why it attacks the way it does. The reports coming in on victims, both alive and dead, bring odd information. Each case must be reviewed separately to understand possible underling conditions. COPD, diabetes age...
I have asked a lot of questions from front line ICU RN's to gather info (They are in the patient rooms most of their 12hr shift). The hospital I work at is just one dot on a global map. But the info, both first hand and in the news, on this biologic enemy is consistent on who it attacks. Or, who is most at risk of having a full blown attack.
The following is my opinion from what I have witnessed in person. This virus does not let go of the weak in health. Why does it want to kill it's host?

Cpl Mark A. Morris - That is an interesting point that you make at the end. Though I do not agree with that assessment.
Here is the reason that I do not agree with that last assessment - What happens to other primates when the human common cold crosses over?

Cpl Mark A. Morris - On the other hand I think it would be prudent to reevaluate some of the experts contention that you can not compare COVID-19 with the Influenza. Especially now that so many of them seem to want to reverse track on their earlier statements and make comparisons.
