Looking forward to watching the film. Thank you for covering it. I wonder if the film touches on Mohamedou Slahi's involvement and connections to al Qaeda? He was a terrorist cell leader in Germany and Canada and recruited three of the 9/11 terrorists. He was treated with dignity and respect at the US military detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, so I am curious as to why you say in your article that he was tortured for ten years. There was no torture at Gitmo. Only a handful of detainees were waterboarded in order to obtain valuable information that saved many lives. Waterboarding was one of the legal and approved Enhanced Interrogation Techniques at the time and was only ever performed by trained CIA agents and never by DoD personnel, military or civilian.
