We can't allow Turkey and Russia to fill America's Middle East vacuum

We can’t allow adversaries to dominate any region or domain we need to advance or sustain US interests. This America First ( aka Isolationist) thing gets out of hand. We cede defacto influence and we have to get it back, the cost becomes exorbitant. Cost in prestige, access, diplomacy, economic resources, time, lives, and military power. Allies are no longer as tight. Potential allies slow to trust. Having to get in bed with less than desirable actors just to have a friend in town. You have to make bad deals

What Middle East vacuum? What exactly is the threat to US security if Turkey or Russia try to control Syria, Somalia, or any other Middle Eastern failed state? Is all the money, resources and lives spent in this area worth it? Let's Turkey and Russia spend their money, resources, and lives on this worthless cause.

Please oh please, God in Heaven, let the Russians commit their military and treasure to the middle east. That would ensure that no shenanigans occur in Europe.
