Sgt James Piatt
My Uncle, SSgt Karl G. Taylor, USMC, was awarded the Medal of Honor Posthumously. He fought in Vietnam on his second tour and was mortally wounded in Operation Meade River. He was with I Co. 3/26. The Medal of Honor was awarded to my Aunt and 3 Cousins in 1972 by President Nixon. May God Bless Him! Semper Fidelis. USAR 85-86 & USMC 86-99 / 0341 Sgt.

Thank you my friend SSG Jeffrey Leake for honoring United States Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant John Basilone who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his above-the-call of-duty heroism during the Battle for Henderson Field in the Guadalcanal Campaign Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands, in October 1942, and the Navy Cross posthumously for extraordinary heroism during the Battle of Iwo Jima.
