COL Mikel Burroughs good read/share: for the Colonel's Motivational Quotes of the Day. Where the mighty American Bald Eagles roam in the mighty ROCKY MOUNTAINS OF CASTLE ROCK, COLORADO AMONG THIER EAGLES-NEST. I know the view must be MAGNIFICIENT on this day October 14 2020 as you might glance upon the mighty snow capped mountains headed into the month of November . As you know I would respond a lot throughout the week, but I am full-time DOD employee doing contracts for the Defense Contracting Management Agency. It is good to have some time on my break to respond my friend.
Good day, my friend, I hope all is good your way:
Today's theme is “Differences Day!” I quote, “When mean and women are able to respect and accept their difference then love has a chance to blossom.” — Unknown Author

I hope you are aware that as brothers and sisters in Christ, we are each unique and in Christ we are equal in righteousness before the LORD. Each one of us was fully justified by God at salvation and by HIS grace HE imputed the righteousness of Christ to our individual account. ‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.’ [2 Corinthians 5:17-19] my brother-in-Christ SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.
I pray dear LORD that YOU pour out an extra dose of love throughout the worldwide body of Christ. Let YOUR love and light shine to and through us. Agape love is the solution to all relationship issues. Empower us to be outwardly focused and increasingly selfless. 'Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.' [1 Corinthians 13_4-5 'Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.']
Thank YOU, LORD for creating each one of us and selecting us for election for YOUR purposes in infinite love. We have differences in taste in music, food, clothing style, likes and dislikes and yet what unifies us is infinitely more poignant and crucial than any differences. YOU bless the body of Christ by bestowing gifts of ministry for common edification and individual maturity. ‘God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues.’ [1 Corinthians 12:27-28 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Wednesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Thursday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ

Great quote for the message yesterday SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL - thanks brother...
"There will always be differences in this world when it comes to our background, culture, upbringing, and experiences, but we can learn from each other if we open up our heart and minds to those differences. May you always be open to other perspectives with respect; may you always have a great attitude toward others and our brothers and sisters here on RallyPoint; may you always take the best care of yourself; and keep safe, secure, happy, and healthy during these uncertain times in our history. "Honor & Respect Always!" — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I met the love of my life the first day of the seventh grade. I was drinking from a water fountain when someone punched me in the back, and yelled, "I hate tall people!" I turned around to see a short, but pretty girl. She stopped growing at 4' 10", exactly a foot shorter than me. She was not only cute, she was feisty! :)

Good morning Col Burroughs. We are seeing a failure to respect others on display once again from our political leadership. It's very sad. We in the military do a better than they do, thank goodness. I am endlessly fascinated by the backgrounds and cultures of some of my clients; generally, we both come away with knowledge and a profound respect for each other. Isn't that what it is about?

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Our gvernment needs to come together because they represent the people (at least their suppose to); and our media is deviding this nation as well. We'll always have differences, but at one time we'll have to figure out as a human race that we must be able to open our minds and hearts to differences among all of us. We can only hope, but we have a brotherhood and sisterhood here on RP we should never allow that honor and respect to fall short - never...
