At Home, as You Drive, and on the Street - More Self Defense Gun Stories

1st thing I see is the accompanying photo, great photo,the pistol is incorrectly oriented for ready access. Story 1, center mass hit, stopped the attack but didn't really stop the bad guy. Caliber, projectile type?
