“In response to a question about religious services and First Amendment freedoms during the coronavirus pandemic, Barr said this of the idea of national Covid-19 lockdowns: "Other than slavery, which was a different kind of restraint, this is the greatest intrusion on civil liberties in American history."
Later, he addressed the Black Lives Matter movement. "They're not interested in Black lives. They're interested in props, a small number of Blacks who are killed by police during conflicts with police — usually less than a dozen a year — who they can use as props to achieve a much broader political agenda."
Wow. So the government has absolutely no responsibility to protect the public against disease and pestilence. Okay then, we can cut a lot of money out of the budget if the HHS, CDC, NIH, etc., are shut down.
As for the BLM part, I guess I was wrong, according to Barr. BLM isn’t an issue at all. Black lives truly do not matter to Barr.

It gets more absurd: Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan on Wednesday said a report that Attorney General William Barr suggested prosecutors consider filing charges against her is "chilling and the latest abuse of power from the Trump administration."
Barr, The New York Times reported, asked prosecutors in the Justice Department's civil rights division to investigate if they could charge Durkan as a result of protests this summer, when some protesters established a police-free zone in downtown Seattle.
It is pathetic that he spouts out like he knows shit. Has he ever walked in the shoes of an African American? I had a conversation with an African American woman and asked how they were treated. She candidly replied they face racism like they won't be served food at a restaurant. He is one of Trump's best ass kisser.
