His points would likely have been better received had he not decended into profanity, but this guy is right on the money. Our military isn't a conglomeration of weapons systems, not even in the Navy or Air Force where the wepons take a more central role. We are organizations filled with people.
People with flaws and talents and enthusiasm and regrets. The high art I would ever try to impart on my replacement would be how to manage this soup of individuals and put them in the right position to function most effectively as a team. Where talents create opportunities to be creative and find synergy, not conflict between type A personalities. Where they acheive unity of effort towards well-articulated goals.
If I could ever learn how to train that other than through long experience and trail and error I would be either a millionaire or the next Sergeant Major of the Army. But it can't be bottled, so I will continue to do my best to mentor the next man up, one at a time, until my corner of the Army is filled with talented managers of manpower and resources.
Politicians have their place. But in the grass where orders or carried out and standards enforced, politicians fail. Their place is closer to the seat of power, where they can secure me the resources I need to execute.

Capt Richard I P., I know you meant that as a very high compliment. And you are right. This guy would likely thrive in the USMC. The Air Force on the other hand, will be pissed.
