At a June 8 press conference, a World Health Organization scientist confusingly suggested that asymptomatic transmission of the coronavirus is “very rare” -- a statement that many scientists found problematic, and which some politicians and those on social media seized upon as evidence that certain public health measures were not necessary.

So she voted me down and blocked me so I couldn't return the favor then continued to post false information. I guess Mary Beaver is a person who can't take responsibility for her actions, which given this thread so far does not surprise me.
She talks about, "Every bat in the whole world carries a strand of the corona virus! We discovered it here in America in 1949! Had a pandemic in 1971, created a vaccine for the ones we have in OUR COUNTRY in 1972!!!" but clearly does not understand how strains of disease work and has completely ignored the CDC commentary on the novel nature of this strain. I have watched the video, it does not say what she says and she refused to provide any time marks in the video to back up her assertions.
At this point my final conclusion is that Mary Beaver is a liar or a troll that doesn't have the intellectual integrity to stand behind her words and doesn't have the ability to take responsibility for her actions. I.e., she is just another self entitled American who is only concerned with herself. I just hope that she is not coming in contact with elderly people at Soreo In Home Support Services, LLC because her irresponsibility might be putting them at risk. She likely should not be working with the elderly.
Edit to add: I don't f with people's livelihoods but the fact that she is listed as a caretaker there freaks me out to no end. In a black humor way I'm hoping that she works in the hospice arm because, well she can't kill anyone who wasn't dying anyway.

I am not, nor do I claim to be, an infectious disease expert. But it doesn't take too much research to understand the position of the WHO and it isn't what is posted in the Newmax video.
Well at least I now know the medical difference between asymptomatic and presymptomatic people. ;)
