Great share. It's about time we have a president that gives a damn. I fostered about two dozen children. Over half of them went back to their original parents with time. About six or seven aged out while still in my home, and four of them I had the great fortune of being able to adopt -- all on my own dime. I received no financial assistance with those adoptions. The money was not important because I could easily afford the adoptions. But what of the children living with a loving family that just couldn't swing the money for lawyers and court costs? One potential adoption fell through at the last moment when bio-mom changed her mind.

I am thrilled about this. We had a number of kids in foster care referred to us by CPS. Some had attended 5-6 schools in a year! And had lots of absences. How is any child supposed to learn like that?

Loosen the reigns on adoptions, the onerous requirements, cost and time creates a situation that causes prospective parents to go offshore, while our kids wait.
