The BN CDR, CIB, Ranger, Pathfinder, Master Blaster, x-SF, etc was a cautious leader while doing hazardous stuff.

After one of his last jumps, strangely enough on a Marine Bird, the BDE CDR locked his heels and tromped in the remains!

CSM Charles Hayden - E-6. Big farm boy type. Now that I think of it. He was a crew chief of a Chinook that suddenly crashed in TN. We were shocked and saddened. It was so sudden. No survivors.

CSM Charles Hayden - You are most correct. Unfortunately due to the nature of that aviation unit, it will continue sustain casualties during realistic training and real world missions. The pilots will do everything in their power to bring all our boys home.
