MAJ Ken Landgren - and, IMHO, government is a very poor baby sitter. Imagine trying to babysit an ant colony (where ants had independent thought). :)

Now the objective is to get people hooked on government benefits and build support for their unpopular permanent versions. Also, swing for the fences to get federal money to fix state budgets.

I don't lack empathy, I simply believe that a locally generated problem (state governor shutting down businesses) has a locally generated solution. It is not Wyoming's job to fund New York's social safety net, beyond standard federal supports. Emergency bills should fund the components affected by the disaster, not self-inflicted harm... or dumbass spending that has been problematic for decades.
