The local, State and Federal Governments need to come to a realization that the citizenry of the United States have willingly supported the effort by giving up Rights for the last 60 days. We were told at first for 15 days, then 30 days. Now we are being told it is an open ended who knows when we will give your Rights back to you. Well they are learning that dog ain't gonna hunt anymore. To the point that local law enforcement is stating they will no longer back them.
The citizenry have given the time needed to spin up needed resources to handle a higher influx of hospitalizations. Remember this was the entire purpose of "the shutdown." It was to lower the spread so the hospitals would not be overwhelmed with the initial wave. This was successful with the exception of a few notable places such as New York City. What are we seeing now? Medical staff being laid off across the nation. My brother is a nurse who was laid off 2 weeks ago. In addition the emergency "field hospitals" being dismantled and the Navy medical ships returning to home ports.
Combine this with the Swedes and their approach IMHO leads a reasonable person to believe that while the Wuhan Virus is bad, it's not the extinction level event we feared it would be.
