Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs This is a time of testing for all of us. How we deal with it says a lot about who we are as individuals. Are you the one others turn to? Or are you one that meets trials with complaints and whining? I see a fair share of both. Even though we can't solve for each other, we can still be kind. We can still smile. We can still reach out and show the best of who we are to each other.

“I’ve shut the door on yesterday, its sorrows and heartaches
I’ve locked within its gloomy walls past failures and mistakes
Now I throw the key away to seek another room
I’ll furnish it with hope and smiles and every springtime bloom
No thought shall enter this abode that has a hint of pain
Neither malice or distrust shall ever there-in reign
I’ve shut the door on yesterday and thrown the key away
Tomorrow holds no doubts for me since I have found today”.
~ Benjamin Abbott (1724-1807)

I expect you have faced much adversity throughout your life with some of that adversity in your mind as you questioned the focus and priority you were expected to support. As you spiritually matured you no doubt the LORD has ripened spiritual fruit in your soul through adversity Charlie.
I pray that you and I are maturing spiritually faster and deeper than we are aging physically as we face adversity from those closest to us at times. I pray that we remember to treat each one with respect especially any who get on our nerves, my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown .
Thank YOU, LORD for YOUR Word which is a lamp unto our feet in this dark period. YOU have made it crystal clear “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.” [Romans 8:28-30 NASB]
I lift YOUR adopted sons and daughters facing persecution based on our demonstration of faith in this nation, western Europe, south Asia, the Philippines, China and throughout the Middle East to YOU. I pray that YOUR light flows through each of us to draw men and women towards YOU and their salvation.
I lift the YOUR adopted sons and daughters who have difficulty facing adversity on the basis of lack of sleep/rest and sustenance who are medical professionals, caretakers for the aged and demented, police officers and Federal agents to YOU LORD along with their family members. I pray that YOU bless each one with soothing rest and sleep tonight and enable them to wake refreshed each morning throughout this season of COVID-19 infection risk.
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children and their loved ones sleep well Tuesday night.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Just took a break from RP to have Breakfast... Now on my SP I will respond in full. Shortly... Stay safe!
I am back and good Tuesday Morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs!!! It is a warm 78° at 0900 hours headed up to the mid-80's... Nice weather for sure, but we desperately need some rain here in SW Florida!
“Adversity Day!” Great topic since we are all facing the same general adversity during this pandemic!
I will start by this word's definition: "Definition of adversity. : a state or instance of serious or continued difficulty or misfortune showing courage in the face of adversity." and boy do we have it!!!
1) "Adversity introduces a man to himself." - Albert Einstein
2) "You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it." - Maya Angelou
3) "Only in winter can you tell which trees are truly green. Only when the winds of adversity blow can you tell whether an individual or a country has steadfastness." Former President John F. Kennedy
4) "And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about." - Haruki Murakami
Lest we forget...

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - Diana and I are just doing that Mikel. I have so many things to do around here to keep me more than busy. My last three days have been spent splitting wood. So between that and my bike rides I plan on coming out of this mess in good shape (well as good as can be expected for a 73 year old).
